[ HIGHLIGHT ]
Behind the Medals
Increase Waste Diversion by Recycling & Composting
Moody Center’s waste diversion efforts are powered by a dedicated Sustainability Crew of more than 75 members. Together, they sort and divert approximately 1,000,000 pounds of waste each year by separating materials such as compost, recycling, cardboard, plastic film, aluminum, and wood pallets. Through their work, the Sustainability Crew helps create a greener impact in Austin and sets the standard for live event waste-sorting operations.
